He has got to be the only kid I know that likes having strange things on his face. We actually went to Playgroup on monday with the red nose on, he was so attached!

A day at the Art Gallery

We had a wonderful time on Saturday with Aunty Hannah at the NGA. We spent a lovely morning in the sculture garden, and then had a lovely wander through the packed Degas exhibition. Xavier even got to spend some time in the Family room, drawing pictures, one of his favourite activities. :) He has even increased his range of mark-making skills (up/down, side to side, round in circles), and produced some very pretty pictures.

Master Outdoorsman

Xavier still loves to be outdoors whenever he can. Here is a few random shots from the backyard, picking up lemons (Duane and Xavier have already cleared all the fallen apples, so we are on the the lemons).

note: for those interested, he has a full set of teeth now, apart from the 2 yr molars. We are hoping for a least a short break before he gets them though!

Canberra Day 2009

This year was Canberra's 96th birthday, and I think they are getting in some practice for the big 100 in 2013, because they had a great amount of things for Canberran's to do with their public holiday. We went out with a bunch of friends, had a picnic, watched a Dora the Explorer concert, and several live musicians (some rather awful ones, but also some great ones) and finished the whole night off with fireworks.
Xavier had a wonderful time dancing nonstop to the Hoodoo Gurus, had a very quick powernap and woke up as soon as the fireworks started, which he loved. All in all, a great day. :)
